Roots of the Sun is a Metaphysical apothecary company and Tea House that specializes in sustainably-harvested loose leaf herbs. Their onsite Herbalist provides consultations and creates herbal tea blends and natural wellness products to raise your vibration available for purchase at the St. Petersburg shop location. They also sell and distribute at markets and festivals in the Tampa Bay Area. Roots of the Sun products are are made with love using the highest quality ingredients by a certified Herbalist practicing the Folk methods of Ancient Herbalism.
Roots of the sun also hosts various workshops and events to spread the ancient knowledge and art of Herbalism and much more in the St. Petersburg community. Jake and Destini are a spiritually-bonded couple who have had a similar dream since before they met. Their vision is to bring people together in order to heal the mind, body, and spirit; one person, one community at a time. Their dream is to play a role in the healing and awakening of humanity through herbal wellness. Thank you for helping their dreams come true! |

Destini's Story
Destini is a Florida Native, and her first memory was a dandelion blowing in the wind. From that moment she developed a relationship with nature, and all she wanted was to be with the plant Queendom. She however found herself growing up a fairly sick child always on and off antibiotics. At age 18 she went to see a Chinese Doctor and Herbalist. This experience changed her life forever. She felt heard and understood, and most of all reconnected to the plant Queendom. For the plants had been calling her all this thyme and she finally answered. Destini's health and overall lifestyle dramatically improved. She then decided to pursue her life path in Herbalism, and completed an herbal apprenticeship though Rosemary Gladstar's Sage Mountain Herbal program. Destini loves to talk with whoever will listen about plants and the beautiful life that mother Earth has given us. She is passionate about serving the community through plant empowerment and integration with nature. She is especially gifted in the use of ritual and intuitive guidance working with plants. Jake's Story
After Jake's mother passed when he was 12, he spent the remainder of his childhood in foster homes. He survived that period of his life by learning to trust himself, and by opening his heart to spiritual guidance. He pursued a passion for healing by earning his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, and completing his doctoral dissertation on the use of mindfulness in career counseling. He now works at Utopia Wellness, an alternative medical center specializing in cancer treatment. He provides counseling and education to help clients improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. In addition, he is committed to supporting and assisting his divine counterpart in her venture to heal others and improve their lives through the use of herbalism. Jake is especially passionate about creating and working with magical tools and crystal jewelry. He is also an avid musician, curator of magical stones, consciousness explorer, and high-vibrational chef.
